The “Lutheran Saints in Ministry” (LSIM) is a collaborative mission of the Southern Ohio Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Member congregations retain local autonomy, local character, and local mission but coordinate ministries with LSIM partners wherever ministry can be enhanced. This Collaborative is composed of ELCA and affiliated Congregations and adopts and enforces the Statement of Faith found in Chapter 2 of the ELCA Model Constitution. LSIM relies upon its member congregations to maintain an updated constitution that corresponds with this.

The vision of LSIM is to bring together worshipping people of a common faith to further the work of Jesus Christ, strengthen our congregations by sharing resources for the common good, serve the needs and goals of its member congregations, provide a framework for ongoing cooperative relationships among its member congregations and provide mutual support between congregations and maintain a congregational presence in each of the communities we serve.
